One of the techniques and styles I love working with is animation combined with live footage—a popular technique currently being used by various industries, including car brands, beverage companies, and financial firms. Below are examples of work for some of my bigger clients like BIC, Deloitte, a music video with the Grammy Award-winning Hot 8 Brass Band, and also some personal projects.
Though this animation style might appear simple, it involves several technical steps including tracking, rotoscoping, compositing, and the actual animation itself. The challenge is always to master these techniques and create a seamless blend between live footage and illustration, while overcoming the time-consuming and detail-oriented nature of the process.
